I’ve usually admired and desired these cushions, so much for my Zen training. Anyway, this cushion is great. You just can’t use blankets or pillows the same way. For shoulderstand it’s the very best. For seated forward bends, it’s fantastic under your hips to give you that bit of edge and release. when the floor is tough it offers cushion but not too a lot particularly for locust type poses and other belly down poses. I use this for my monthly women’s circle meetings and I fold it in half and sit cross legged and it provides me comfy height at my knees and ankles. I adore this.

This is a excellent zabuton at a very good price. It has a rugged outer material that should last a long time and is removable for washing. The padding is sufficient and comfy. It is light sufficient to be portable along with a detachable strap is included that can form a deal with for carrying the folded mat.

Better than expected!

I am a real yogini now

I’ve several zabutons. IMHO, this one from Hugger Mugger is superior to the others I purchased (which were less expensive)! I got my initial Hugger Mugger zabuton 4 many years ago. I have used it with meditation pillow on top, folded in in half as a prop too several times to count, used it as a pad for shoulderstand as well as other non-yoga purposes. It’s still in very great condition! The loft is great and it is as supportive today as it was four years ago. I finally gave away my other (cheaper) zabutons and got another Hugger Mugger. It was worth the extra money. It doesn’t hurt that it has a lifetime warranty! BTW, on two occasions, I was in a position to go to the Hugger Mugger warehouse. I was able to see many of their items. They’re all outstanding!

Hard as a rock!
I liked the color (maroon) fabric and shape but when I sit on it it was like sitting on a rock! I still tried using it but I cannot get used to it I am sending it back and getting one with the buckwheat filling.

Buy Cheap Gaiam Yoga For Beginners Kit, Reviews I was impressed with the high quality with the items simply because to tell you the truth, i was nervous it was going to be cheap for the price. The dvd that comes using the items was extremely helpful. I am not new to yoga, but I am new to yoga at house and I’ve found the days I use Yiam’s daily routine, i feel much better throughout the day.

I received the product quick and it is a superb beginner set. There’s an AM wake up session, an 8 minute video to describe how to use the props correctly, and a every day 20 minute session. I was very pleased overall.

Since I’ve never tried Yoga prior to, I’ve nothing to compare this to. However, I can see its potential benefit. I believe some of the poses transition too rapidly on the 20 minute workout because as a newbie, I am unfamiliar using the fundamental poses and their names. The initial factor in the morning workout is fantastic simply because it provides a great introduction and extremely great stretches and adequate time to transition. The only thing I wish either or both of the workouts offered were stretches for neck and upper back area, which is primarily why I even considered attempting out Yoga.

The instructor is obviously an experienced yogi, i.e. someone who has studied and taught yoga for a long time. I find this generally preferable to an aerobics instructor who has recently jumped onto the yoga bandwagon. This tape is great for the novice, and a fantastic intro to yoga.

I personally love the DVD simply because I’ve done Yoga prior to and know the names with the moves, but I can see where beginners would have a hard time using the every day routine. Should you do not know the moves you may need to watch the DVD with out following along for a time or two, simply because he goes quicker than those on my other DVD’s and you might get lost. Once you get the hang of the moves, this is a superb DVD to do Yoga with.

Great beginer set.
I received the product fast and it is a great beginner set. There is an AM wake up session, an 8 minute video to describe how to use the props correctly, and a daily 20 minute session. I was very pleased overall.

Great price for everything you need to start doing yoga!
While the DVD is definitely NOT made for beginning yoga practitioners, the fact that you get a strap, mat and block for less than makes this product worth it. If you're starting out and the cost of getting everything you need to successfully start practicing yoga seems daunting, you should get this kit and a different Yoga for Beginners DVD (personally, I recommend Suzanne Deason's Yoga for Weight Loss because it offers modifications for all skill levels and you can use it throughout your practice) and it will be worth the price. Once you know the poses used in the included DVD, are comfortable moving through them quickly and can make your own modifications for your skill level, then pull out this DVD for a quick morning workout when you're running late.

Poorly designed
I bought this for my girlfriend who was wanting to get into Yoga - this kit is pretty crappy for beginners. The instructor just goes from pose to pose, without giving you really any instruction on what you should be focusing on as far as your form (very important in yoga), goes through everything really, really fast; the mat is pretty thin - overall I would not buy another product from Gaiam - it seems slapped together without much thought.

Low Price Yogitoes Big Skidless Yoga Towel, Review Should you take Bikram yoga you require this towel! It is large enough to cover your whole mat and it doesn’t slip at all during class. I bought this to accompany my new 85-inch Manduka mat. I’m very new to yoga, but even after the first two classes and how a lot I was slipping around on the cheap mat I was utilizing, I knew something had to change. I’ve been amazed at how much I sweat through my hands and feet! I can see how some individuals may want to lightly dampen the towel with a spray bottle before use, but I seem to do fine without performing that. The rubber nubs on the bottom do a excellent job holding the towel in place although I’m moving from pose to pose. I’m just surprised I haven’t seen anybody else in my classes using these. I completely love mine. I’m just glad I read other reviews first to know not to wash my navy towel with any other items!, And like one more reviewer stated, I did not put mine in the dryer.

Because you can fold this towel, not just roll it up, you are able to make certain that you don’t need to come in contact with any dirty gym surfaces. This larger size is slightly longer than the largest yoga/pilates mat at the gym, so you don’t need to move it to accommodate various exercises. Yogitoes Big Skidless Yoga Towel

Yogitoes Big Skidless used with Manduka black mat pro
First of all you must wash this several times SEPARATELY before putting it in the wash with your other clothes. The tag says to do so, but the colors were still bleeding after 3 washings.

I just measured my towel and it is 79", which is 6 inches shorter than my Manduka Black Mat Pro 85" mat. I learned if you don't want to slip off the end of you mat you need to make sure your towel hangs off the back of your mat. The Manduka is very slippery when soaked with sweat, but grippy when dry. The Yogitoes is the exact opposite, slippery when dry and grippy when wet. So you may need to put a few drops of water on your Yogitoes towel where your hands and feet go in down dog before you start your practice so you don't slip off your mat.

I am a very sweaty 6'3" male who does power yoga for 1.5-2 hrs 3-4 days a week. I've learned that I must immediately hang dry my towel in the sun or put it in the wash after a class. I was busy a couple of times after class and didn't wash it till later in the day and my towel developed a moldy type smell that was hard to get rid of, even after repeated washing in warm water. If you don't sweat that much you might not have that problem.

If you sweat as much as I do you could find that the yogitoes towel will become super saturated where you put your hands. Once your towel gets that wet it might move around a bit in down dog, or in lunge positions. For me that is usually toward the end of a class, but it could be a problem for you too if you sweat excessively like me. This is one of the reasons I wouldn't give a 5 star rating.

All that said I would recommend this product if you get sweaty during yoga and are sick of using a beach towel. I purchased the Indigo because it was a less expensive color.

wonderful towel
i love this yoga towel, i have used yogitoes in the passed, i tried this longer version. it is great, it covers my entire mat, i practice in a yoga studio of 101 and i need my entire mat covered. if you take hot yoga or use the shorter style of this towel, i would definitly try this longer one, i never use my shorter one!!

Shorter than listed but a good mat nonetheless
I love this mat and find it doesn't slip during yoga class. It is much better than a towel. My only issue is that it is advertised as 80", but is really 77.5". I did wash and dry it on low temperatures as per the instructions and it may have experienced quite a bit of shrinkage. Yet since I am tall (5' 11"), it is a treat to finally have my entire head to toe body on the mat. I would recommend this if you need the extra length, just know that it won't completely cover your 80" mat.

Buy Manduka Standard EQUA Towel Cheap, Review I like this towel much better than the yoga toes towel simply because it is stickier. The yoga toes towel was too slippery for me particularly in down dog, even though I wet it before class.

Manduka now provides a hot yoga towel additionally to this standard version, but Amazon doesn’t seem to carry it yet. It is more plush, and should you sweat buckets, I highly recommend it. Numerous absorbent yoga towels I’ve tried don’t give quite enough, but the new one obtainable on their website does.

I just used the towel for the initial time this morning, during the seated primary series. I haven’t tried it for the standing asanas, since I don’t sweat as well much then. It feels great against my skin, sticks to the mat, and handles sweat well: my toes didn’t slip throughout janu sirasana B, and the towel didn’t bunch at all during vinyasas. Felt excellent throughout headstand, as well. My mat’s about the older side and showing some wear, but hopefully this will prolong its life in addition to making my practice a little much more enjoyable.

I want one in every color!
This towel is great! My only complaint is that I have to do laundry more often so that I always have it ready for yoga!! The towel feels great, absorbs sweat, and keeps me firmly planted to the mat, I would recommend it to EVERYONE!

Great Yoga Towel
This yoga towel is great. I use it with a Jade Harmony yoga mat, and it has made a huge difference in my practice. I sweat a lot, so this mat is crucial to helping me keep from slipping in positions such as downward dog. Definitely worth the price. Not sure how good it works when paired with other yoga mats.

perfect fit and function
I absolutely love this towel! It is more of a neccesity than an accessory. With the first use I knew it would become essential to my yoga practice. Not only is it the perfect fit for my Manduka mat but it gives me better grip and non-slip control in all of my poses. It is feels much like a second skin and absorbs every bit of moisture, enhancing every movement. I don't know how I ever went to my mat without it!

My favorite towel
This is my favorite yoga towel (I have tried 4). I spray the towel down before practicing, and I sweat enough during practice that it stays pretty much in place. It does not grip the mat as well as the Yogitoes towel, but for , I can live with a little bunching here and there. It is pretty compact and light weight, and it dries really quickly, so I am planning on taking it on my next camping trip.

I never realized how much time I was spending flattening out the bath towel when it bunched up or attempting to compensate for it when if folded under my 1 standing foot or how a lot much better it will be to have a towel that exactly covered my entire mat. No more folding below the edges when the studio is full. Much easier to stay centered. Much less distraction. As for care, I bought the Metal towel and created certain that I washed it twice on its personal prior to I utilized it. Actually I washed it first on its personal and the second time having a dark wash and it was fine. I always wash in cold drinking water so I ignored the guidelines for a warm wash. It dries fast. I couldn’t be happier.

I have been taking hot yoga and happen to be utilizing two normal bath towels per session. I sweat a lot so I’ve two soaking wet towels to wash and dry every time I go. I’d decided to purchase this towel and I am pleased. It seems to absorb water and keep it all contained. Then I wash it in cold water and hang it to dry. It only takes a couple hours to dry when hanging. I think I am saving money simply because I am not running the drier continuously to dry normal bath towels.

did not work for me
i don't know if i'm doing something wrong, but my towel would not stay put! i even sprayed water on it before each class, but the towel would ALWAYS move or get scrunched up easily. yes, the towel helps me from slipping all over the place, but it's not as great as what the other reviews are saying. i just got it a little less than 2 weeks ago and have used about 8 times. I've been air-drying it because i'm afraid the heat would damage the little stickies at the bottom. regardless of how much i try to take care of this, it still would not stick to my mat. i'm disappointed because it costs way too expensive to not do its job. i really wish i could return it...

yoga towel
This towel has stopped me from sliding off my map during a vigorous flow class. Because my mat is not wet and slippery, the yoga experience is much more enjoyable. It air dries quickly.

The only reason this is 4 stars and not 5 is I haven't had it long enough to see how durable it is, but so far it looks and seems pretty durable after a few uses.

perfect fit
This is the first yoga towel I've purchased, always relying on bath towel until now. I have to say, it is amazing! It doesn't slide and I can focus on what I'm there to do... yoga! In fact, I'm buying more right now. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

I love this yoga tote! It’s machine washable and therefore simple to clean. It also snaps completely open, so I can easily put my additional lengthy, additional thick, sticky yoga mat in the tote. It is a lot big to toss my towel, tee, and water bottle on best of my oversized mat.

I’ve utilized these blocks for 2 years now and they have held up nicely. What you see is what you get, just a black block of hard foam, absolutely nothing fancy, however it works perfectly.
